With over 20 years of experience as an international professional, DJ Marky has elevated the art of DJing and music production to an exceptional level.

The Brazilian DJ, known for his calm demeanor, gained global prominence in the late 90s when Jungle began to make its mark on the club scene. With a musical background that includes Hip Hop, Funk, and Techno and a residency in São Paulo, Marky quickly developed a passion for the Jungle genre, which soon became a true obsession.

The major breakthrough came when the movement reached Brazil and DJ Marky was discovered by Bryan G, a legend in the scene. A single track, "LK," co-produced with his fellow compatriot XRS, was enough to open doors for a tour in the UK and kickstart a two-decade career.

The meteoric rise to fame came swiftly after the release of "LK," which reached the 15th position in the UK Top 20. This success was further amplified by the album "The Brazilian Job," considered one of the greatest compilations of all time. The album showcased DJ Marky's talents, combining tracks and scratchings with mastery and revealing a creativity that was missing in the Drum & Bass scene at the time.

After years of relentless touring, DJ Marky remains one of the most respected and sought-after DJs in the club and festival scenes. He was a standout for 9 consecutive years at Skolbeats, Brazil’s largest open-air festival. His productions have appeared in numerous compilations and are played by some of the biggest names in Drum & Bass. His label, Innerground Records, is thriving, and the DJ MARKY & FRIENDS brand continues to expand its global presence, with residencies in cities like London, Paris, Tokyo, and São Paulo.

With around 100 releases across various formats and genres, including high-profile remixes for artists like Everything But The Girl, Claude Von Stroke, Fatboy Slim, and Deadmau5, DJ Marky remains at the top of his career. He has a series of releases planned for 2010, including vinyl and mixed compilations, as well as an extensive touring schedule to ensure his talent continues to impress across all continents.
